Yes, Urban Meyer will win at Ohio State. The question is not if, but when he turns the program around. It may take as long as 2 years before the Buckeyes compete for a Big 10 (11? 12? 13?) title. Ohio State dominated the Big 10 before the recent scandals that landed the program in hot water. With Urban Meyer leading the program, the Buckeyes will be playing for and winning Big 10 titles in no time.

   The biggest problem Meyer faces is that Ohio isn’t Florida. Florida produces some of the nations top quality football players year after year. Bringing in the great players with top end speed will be no easy task. It’s no secret that Texas, Florida, California, and southeastern states  are producing the best football talent. Can Urban Meyer recruit here? Yes, but not as effectively as he did at Florida.

   Many fans complain about the current BCS system, but there are certain teams and conferences that benefit from the current system. Ohio State is a team that certainly benefits. Urban Meyer will lead the Buckeyes to Big 10 titles. When they do, there will be many claiming they deserve a shot at the title. Polls have always treated Ohio State favorably because of the money and influence they bring to the bowls. My prediction is by the time Urban Meyer’s second recruiting class reaches their senior year, the Buckeyes will be playing for a national title.

   Urban Meyer is an elite coach in college football. He took Utah to a BCS bowl and brought two BCS titles to Florida. Urban Meyer is simply a winner. He will bring Big 10 titles to Ohio State. The question is can he make the Buckeyes competitive on a national stage? I’m sure coach Meyer will have a game plan. If he can recruit in the south and west and bring speed to the Big 10, He will win early and often.
